The small, alternate Helichrysum argyrophyllum leaves have flat to channelled stalks that clasp the stems somewhat. The leaves at stem-tips form rosettes.

The smooth, grey blades curve in laterally and down from base to tip. They bear a short-haired, velvety indumentum. Leaf dimensions are about 3 cm long and 1 cm wide.

The foliage is dense on the much-branched, thickish stems that become bare on old, lower parts. The stems also root at the nodes, increasing the plant’s spreading (iNaturalist; https://keys.lucidcentral.org).
