The ground-covering, matted foliage of Helichrysum argyrophyllum makes quite an impression in the case of established plants. This foliage does much for the colour grey. The contrasting yellow-beige of scattered flowerheads adds aesthetically pleasing contrast.
Flowerheads grow solitary or in small clusters on longish, erect stalks. The insect that doesn’t spot them isn’t hungry or will die of it (iNaturalist; https://keys.lucidcentral.org).
