    Helichrysum teretifolium leaves are needle-like with their margins rolled under. Dark green on top, the leaves are whitish woolly below in the gap left between the margins; thus not quite terete.

    The sharply pointed leaf tips arch down in hooks, similar to the leaf base that briefly ascends from the stem before spreading.

    The comprehensive leaf covering on young stems and dense clusters of them at stem tips contrast against the sparse leaf presence on the older stems with slightly coarse grey bark (Manning, 2007; iSpot).
