Hermannia filifolia var. filifolia flowers

The corolla mouths of the twisted, usually nodding Hermannia filifolia var. filifolia flowers have yellow colouring mostly on the inside petal surfaces, red on the outsides. Overall the flowers are redder than yellow.

Flowering may start from before midwinter and some flowers are still seen after midautumn (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist).
