Hermannia filifolia var. grandicalyx mostly flowers red or maroon, while some plants produce these yellower flowers.
The often flared back sepals assume different positions in different floral stages and to some extent on different plants. Even the corollas and calyces in picture present colour differences on the same stem-tip.
