The leaves of Hermannia vestita are pale green to grey-green and densely hairy. The leaf shape is ovate, folding in along the midrib with pointed tip and tapering base. The surface is pleated along the ascending lateral veins. Leaf margins are serrated. The pale, hairy leaf petioles vary in length. Stipules drop off early (Shearing and Van Heerden, 2008).
