The green flower of Habenaria kraenzliniana also has faint yellow and some white colouring, as well as differences in the shades of green on specific floral parts.
The dorsal sepal forms an erect hood over the column in the flower centre. The two short upper lobes of the lateral petals adhere to the flanks of this sepal.
Four similar long, thin and green flower parts dominate in the flower appearance: the two lower lobes of the petals and the lateral lobes of the lip all become about 3 cm long. They hang down and curve gracefully, displaying a covering of short, stubbly hairs.
The oblong midlobe of the lip is short and narrow, only 5 mm long and pointing down. The curving spur behind the lip is about 4 cm long.
Flowering happens from late summer to mid-autumn (Pooley, 1998; www.orchidspecies.com).
