    This cylindrical Holothrix filicornis inflorescence is densely flowered, more so than some of the others shown in this Album. Flowers are concentrated to one side of the stem, a feature often seen in Holothrix flowering.

    The short petal and lip bases are broad, their thread-like lobes protruding haphazardly. This represents a kind of floral chaos, limbs pointing and winding in all directions.

    Flowering happens in autumn and early winter (Williamson, 2010).
