The Holothrix secunda inflorescence is often densely flowered, as in the photo where a few dry twigs claim prior occupancy of the space used by the flowers.
Inside the flower mouths the column is cream and lime-green, apart from the anther thecae that are dark, sometimes purplish. Thecae are the two anther lobes where the pollen sacs reside (Liltved and Johnson, 2012).
