The grey leaves of Atriplex lindleyi are elliptic to diamond-shaped with sparsely toothed to entire margins. The leaf base tapers, its tip is rounded to pointed. The leaves become 1 cm to 4 cm long, 3 mm to 15 mm wide.
The plant is browsed by stock and game during fodder scarcity only (Le Roux, et al, 2005; iNaturalist; https://keys.lucidcentral.org).
