The yellow flowers of Amsinckia menziesii are secund, i.e. positioned along one side of the flowering stem. The calyx is hairy, about 6 cm long, its lobes narrow and pointed.
The corolla is tubular ending in five, rounded, spreading lobes with slightly darker blotches in the throat.
Flowering happens late in winter to after midspring (Le Roux, et al, 2005; iNaturalist).
