The pale lilac to pink double whorl of petals of Dracophilus dealbatus flowers may also be a darker pinkish purple, or white. Corolla diameter is about 3,5 cm. The thick column of massed stamens in the flower centre is topped with a rich yellow of pollen-laden anthers.

Flowering occurs almost throughout the year.

The rounded tips of five rather long sepals that protruding beyond the petal tips are a sure sign that this is not a four-sepalled Juttadinteria plant, a similar species. Flowers of the Juttadinteria genus can, apart from sepal count, be distinguished from Dracophilus by their opening in the morning, while Dracophilus flowers open in the late afternoon and into the night, probably more moth-pollinated than bee-pollinated (Smith, et al, 1998; iNaturalist; https://www.worldfloraonline.org).
