Septulina glauca, in Afrikaans commonly kootjie-nam-nam (nice tasting morsel) or muisvoëlbessie (mousebird berry), is a woody, aerial hemiparasite growing on tree and shrub branches, becoming 50 cm tall or in diameter. The branched stems are pale green when young, turning grey later.

The species distribution is in the Western Cape as far east as the Little Karoo and the Northern Cape to Namibia. The photo was taken in the Oudtshoorn district.

The habitat is scrubveld where spekboom, guarri and gannabos are often found. It often parasitises on Lycium species. S. glauca is not considered threatened in habitat early in the twenty first century (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Le Roux, et al, 2005; Leistner, (Ed.), 2000; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist; http://redlist.sanbi.org).
