Lippia javanica flowerheads

The inflorescence of Lippia javanica is a densely flowered head. Open flowers appear first along the perimeter, white dot buds promising in the centre. The heads grow on long stalks from leaf axils.

The corolla tube widens slightly at the mouth, the small, white lobes spreading angularly to raggedly around it. Yellow anthers are visible in some flower mouths.

The sunken veins on the leaves curve in only slightly, the marginal teeth beady (Van Wyk and Malan, 1997; iNaturalist).
