The flower of Halleria elliptica is red, sometimes orange or brown-red. The corolla is tubular, narrow at the base, four-lobed and about 2 cm in length.

The pendulous flowers have small calyces ending in four rounded lobes. The peduncle is slender and pinkish. Flowering lasts from spring to autumn.

The fruit is a spherical berry of nearly 1 cm in diameter. It ripens in winter (Coates Palgrave, 2002).
