    Developing fruits of varying sizes were captured in this shot of Chironia baccifera taken in the Stellenbosch University Botanical Garden in February.

    Many of the fruits still green and shiny have small pieces of style remaining at the tips, while a few have the dry corolla still attached. Ripening is associated with colour change, different stages in yellow and orange on the bigger fruits. Each fruit is carried on a ribbed stalk (Manning, 2007; iSpot).
