    The flowerheads of Achyranthemum paniculatum grow solitary or in small clusters at stem-tips, the buds pink. About five rows of spreading, overlapping, papery involucral bracts, white, pointed and boat-shaped, surround the numerous yellow disc florets of each head. A flowerhead becomes about 1 cm in diameter.

    Flowering happens in the earlier part of summer (Euston-Brown and Kruger, 2023; Manning 2009; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist).
