Cissus quadrangularis unripe berries

Cissus quadrangularis is an attractive climbing succulent. With the help of host plants or nearby structures it reaches a height of 1.5 m.

The quadrangular-sectioned branches with internodes of up to 10 cm long and 1.5 cm wide are most attractive. Tendrils that enable the plant to hold on to available support grow at the nodes. In this picture an unused tendril that could not find anything to hold on to has curled up and dried out.

The cluster of ovoid green fruits are berries that turn red when they ripen (Wikipedia).
