Cissus rotundifolia

Cissus rotundifolia, the bushveld grape, is a vigorous climber with forked tendrils that cling to available nearby vegetation. The branched, four to five angled stems become several metres long, twining their way into trees and shrubs.

The distribution of the species is along the eastern part of Africa, reaching from Mpumalanga to the Arabian Peninsula. The plant is usually found at cliff edges on forest margins in dry woodland and bushveld (Smith and Crouch, 2009; www.zimbabweflora.co.zw).
