Pelargonium luridum is a widespread grassland species in the east of South Africa and southern Africa. Rocks or trees are sometimes added.
This is but one of the Pelargonium species sometimes eaten by people as a raw vegetable. The plant is also grazed by game and stock. Several traditional medicine uses exist in which parts of this plant feature.
P. luridum is grown from seed or from the woody tubers (Manning, 2009; Pooley, 1998; iNaturalist).
