Erica urna-viridis

The Silvermine Nature Reserve is home to many special plants, including Erica urna-viridis. The area forms part of the Cape Peninsula mountain range and the Table Mountain National Park in the heartland of fynbos. Many people weekend her, some whetting appetites for pursuing explorations of the larger region of Western Cape mountains, others never venture further.

The Cape Floristic Region, also known as the Cape Floral Kingdom, is home to 9000 flowering plant species. Two-thirds of them are endemic to the region, i.e. not found in nature anywhere else (Wikipedia).
