The distichous fan of Glottiphyllum carnosum leaves formed at the branch-tip is tilted to the side, away from two more branches, growing in reclining mode like teenagers.

The thick, oblong leaves are flat and succulent, pale grey-blue to grey-green. Persistent dead leaf remains at the base of each branch show that progress has been made over some years, although the branches are short, the plant diminutive.

Progress includes last season’s flowers turned into fruits, now dry, ribbed with slits and beige in colour. The seeds have probably already been yielded to the environment (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Smith, et al, 1998; iNaturalist).
