    The flat-topped, fruit capsule of Glottiphyllum regium has dried out with some wear and tear as expected over time. There are six locules on this capsule, plants of the species sometimes have more. An old fruit, sepal parts have disappeared from the outside of this circular capsule shape as seen from above.

    Glottiphyllum capsules generally are endowed with large closing bodies. The capsules tend to be soft-textured, particularly on top.
