Grewia bicolor var. bicolor well lit

The alternate leaves spreading in one plane from the thin upper twigs are held horizontally or drooping. They may be smooth or velvety, shiny or dull above, and toothed or entire along their margins.

Lower surfaces are always white velvety as the few inverted ones in the photo indicate. The leaf base is always asymmetrically rounded, the apex rounded or tapering. Three veins grow from the leaf base.
