Drosanthemum giffenii shrublet

The much-branched Drosanthemum giffenii shrublet may be much wider than tall. Old branches become wiry, often losing many of their older and lower leaves.

Such Little Karoo bushes become safe havens for other small plants and small animals (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; iNaturalist).
