Ripe Euclea undulata fruits are glossy black and globose, growing in clusters near stem-tip leaves. The fruits are single-seeded and thinly fleshy.
The red and yellow ones are still getting there, while some in picture are already losing shape. Their usual consumers, people, monkeys and birds are late, having possibly lost their chances with some already, making dispersal for those also not great.
Fruits may be present on the (female) trees from end summer to after the following midspring (Coates Palgrave, 2002; Schmidt, et al, 2002; Van Wyk and Van Wyk, 1997; Pooley, 1993; iNaturalist).
