    Lotononis dissitinodis leaves and flowers
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Louis Jordaan

The narrow, channelled leaves of Lotononis dissitinodis appear shiny in the sunlight with some hairs visible. A few leaf-tips are more pointed than the others and curve back. Some leaf-shapes are not quite linear, tending to narrowly elliptic.

The broadly rounded wing petals protrude in front of the reflexed banner petals, bearing dark vein lines on the pale yellow surfaces and concealing the keel petals almost entirely (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; iNaturalist).
