Tritonia undulata, previously T. crispa, is a cormous perennial reaching heights from 18 cm to 35 cm in its annual above-ground parts.
The sword-shaped leaves grow in a basal fan, their margins crinkly.
The species distribution is in the west of the Western Cape from the Gifberg to Gordon’s Bay, maybe Caledon. The photo was taken in Sir Lowry’s Pass.
The habitat is fynbos and succulent Karoo, often on stony, sandstone slopes. The habitat population is deemed of least concern early in the twenty first century (Manning, 2007; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist; http://redlist.sanbi.org).
