These Cotula leptalea annuals have added to the numbers of their leaf lobes, straight, flattish and somewhat round-tipped. The flat-topped petioles angling up from the ground are, however, still dominating the bulk of the leaf structures.
In design terms these leaves count among the unusual. No doubt the photosynthesis capacity is well established. They might also find favour among some herbivores (Le Roux, et al, 2005; iNaturalist).
