    The flowers of Wahlenbergia grandiflora grow at the tips of slender stems. The pedicels are up to 3 cm long. The corollas have five pointed petals coloured blue or mauve to almost white.

    Flowering happens from before midwinter to after midspring. Small flies are prominent among the pollinators (Pooley, et al, 2025; Pooley, 1998; iNaturalist).
