Watsonia pillansii grows three to four sword-shaped or strap-shaped leaves with slightly twisted blades. The often bright green leaves have yellowish, translucent margins and pointed tips that are dry early. The leaves are about 1,5 cm wide (Pooley, et al, 2025; Manning, 2009; Pooley, 1998; Gledhill, 1981; iNaturalist).
