When a Rabiea albinota plant is young, its Aloe likeness is more noticeable in the still single leaf rosette. The deeply keeled and thickly succulent leaves broaden slightly from the base upwards, then taper to their incurved tips. The leaf-shape resembles a scimitar, a shape called acinaciform by botanists.
The leaf skin is covered in white to dark purple, tuberculate or papillae-like spots. In cultivation these leaf spots may tend to reduce or disappear (Smith, et al, 2017; Smith, et al, 1998; iNaturalist; https://pza.sanbi.org; https://www.worldfloraonline.org)
