This young Podalyria myrtillifolia plant was seen near Hermanus in September. The white and the pink are swapped on the flowers of some plants, the pink at the base as the nectar guides. Some have about entirely pink flowers, darker near the base.
Apart from some pale flowers and small, creamy pods present here, the plant has also sprouted small new leaves, brighter to yellower green at stem-tips and from some leaf axils. The mature blue-green leaves still have whitish margins like the new ones. The blades are slightly folded in along their midribs. The tips are obtusely pointed, sometimes with mucros protruding (Curtis-Scott, et al, 2020; Manning, 2007; iNaturalist).
