Bauhinia galpinii leaves

The rounded, oblong and semi-attached halves of Bauhinia galpinii leaves are separated by their midribs. The midribs are here no more conspicuous than the two or three veins radiating from the base on both flanks of the midribs. The veins diminish as they branch a bit further on. Leaf venation is prominent on the lower surfaces. The leaves tend to vary in size, are up to about 7 cm in diameter. The leaf petioles are channelled on top.

The thin, brown upper branchlets are longitudinally ridged in picture (Manning, 2009; Coates Palgrave, 2002; Pooley, 1993; iNaturalist).
