Pseudoselago subglabra flowering at Kleinmond

The stalkless flowers of Pseudoselago subglabra grow in compact, nearly flat-topped clusters comprised of short spikes. The calyx has five lobes. The corolla is tubular, opening into two spreading lips, one with two, the other with three lobes. Flower colour is white or mauve with a small orange patch at the base of each lobe of the two-lobed, upper lip. There are four stamens in two unequal pairs in each flower. This plant was seen near Kleinmond in November (Manning, 2007).
