Helichrysum rosum, a few dry flowerheads

The flowerheads of Helichrysum rosum are small, but often densely clustered in flat-topped inflorescences just above the stem-tip leaves. They are enveloped in white or pink involucral bracts that dry to a pale brown as in these spent flowerheads.

The papery bracts are narrow and acutely pointed around the many small florets in the yellow discs. A flowerhead measures about 3 mm in diameter.

Flowering happens in spring to autumn (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2010; iSpot).
