Floral bracts of this Disa stachyoides inflorescence are bright green, concave and acutely pointed. They manage to remain roughly erect, dodging the perianth parts that bypass them to show their colours to pollinators.
Both bracts and flowers end up slightly skewed from the bustle of this exercise.
The longer, narrow leaves below the inflorescence are also visible, angling out around the lower part of it (Pooley, 1998; Onderstall, 1984).
