Pavetta lanceolata flowers in various stages of development form a typical branched head at a stem-tip, the inflorescence from 4 cm to 7 cm long.

The buds appear club-shaped in the photo, the corolla tubes about 6 mm long. Once the flowers open, the four narrow corolla lobes spread, later recurve sharply on older flowers. The conspicuous styles are up to 2,5 cm long, exserted far. These styles turn green on old flowers when the corollas wither (Coates Palgrave, 2002; Schmidt, et al, 2002; iNaturalist).
