A profusion of pale green, thread-like parts covered in short hairs characterises the Habenaria kraenzliniana inflorescence in full bloom. They are the lower petal lobes and lateral lip lobes, only part of the complex floral structure.

The neatly boat-shaped hood, the median sepal at the top of the flower is hairless, as is the dark green, curved and ribbed ovary. The spur, longer than all the hairy threads, arch behind the flower, paler in colour than the ovary above it (Pooley, 1998; www.orchidspecies.com).
