Diosma prama, in Afrikaans commonly known as steenbokboegoe, is an ericoid, single-stemmed shrub that branches and reaches heights around 1,2 m.

The species distribution is in the Little Karoo and to the east in the Baviaanskloof.

The plants are commonly found in dry montane fynbos, growing in loam and sandy soils. The species is not considered threatened in habitat early in the twenty first century (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2010; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iSpot; www.plantzafrica.com; www.redlist.sanbi.org).
