    Drosanthemum schoenlandianum
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Thabo Maphisa

Drosanthemum schoenlandianum is a spreading or prostrate shrublet reaching 15 cm in height. Like some other Drosanthemum species, it has stiff, long hairs along its stems, the internodes distinct.

The species is distributed in the Knersvlakte in the south of Namaqualand where it grows in the open in red clay soils. The species is not considered to be threatened in its habitat early in the twenty first century.

Other Drosanthemum species flowering white include D. albiflorum, D. albens, D. calycinum, D. eburneum, and D. giffenii (Le Roux, et al, 2005; Smith, et al, 1998; Herre, 1971; iNaturalist; http://redlist.sanbi.org).
