    Clutia ericoides can be a seasonally floriferous shrublet where conditions are suitable. The leaves on the branches are thin and spaced, not obscuring the flowers much. The small size of the flowers may count against them, although small flowers with good features may sometimes win the competition as people preferences vary.

    Many would probably select the female bush to obtain the slightly bigger flowers. How long these will last in a vase is uncertain (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok 2015; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist).
