Numerous Lachenalia xerophila flowers grow in an erect raceme when the pair of spreading leaves are present below.
The tubular white flowers on short pedicels are about horizontal in bud, slightly sagging once open. The outer tepals are blotched dark grey, ending in bluntly pointed tips that curve out slightly when open. Uppermost flowers in the raceme normally do not develop.
The stamens are exserted almost as far as the tepals are long. The small yellow or brown anthers are presented at the up-curved tips of thin white filaments (iNaturalist).
