These Strumaria gemmata inflorescences have advanced to the fruiting stage.

Small clusters of nearly globose capsules have developed at the tips of most of the long pedicels. Capsule surfaces in picture are reddish and shine dully. Around them some papery tepal leftovers persist. The fleshy seeds inside are ovoid.

The inflorescence had two spathe valves at the head of its scape that initially covered all the buds of the inflorescence before pedicel elongation.

Keeping this branched structure standing is functional until the release of the ripe seeds (Curtis-Scott, et al, 2020; Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Leistner, (Ed.), 2000; iNaturalist; https://www.pacificbulbsociety.org).
