    Lachnaea eriocephala leaves
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Judd Kirkel Welwitch

The small, keeled leaves of Lachnaea eriocephala are narrowly elliptic with entire margins and bluntly pointed tips. They ascend, mostly adhering neatly to four vertical ranks up the woody stems.

Old stems become naked, showing scars where their leaves had dropped off (Manning, 2007; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist; https://pza.sanbi.org; https://www.worldfloraonline.org).
