The cyathia of Euphorbia natalensis grow in stem-tip umbels, subtended by broadly ovate, hairless bracts. These noticeable bracts are usually wider than long, sometimes with notched tips and forming something of a cup.

There are four conspicuous, yellow glands around the false flower centre, pointing their paired horns outwards. The styles on the ovary are usually up-curved from the down-curved ovary. The styles are also joined at the base, split higher up into two branches that spread.

The pedicelled capsule narrows upwards. The smooth seeds are ellipsoid and black with a small yellowish-white outgrowth on each, called a caruncle (Pooley, 1998; Trauseld, 1969; iNaturalist; JSTOR).
