Crassula alba var. alba white flowers and green stems

Crassula alba var. alba white flowers and green stems
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Judd Kirkel Welwitch

The stem of this Crassula alba var. alba plant structurally conforms to what is generally seen for the species, but the absence of the red colouring is worthy of note. The lemon-green stems have leaves closely aligned with the stem and not decreasing in size towards the top much. Otherwise they are similar to the other plants shown in this Album.

The flowers with their pointed petals open into regular five-pointed star-shapes around the rings of five dark anthers surrounding the style (Van Wyk and Malan, 1997; Germishuizen and Fabian, 1982; iSpot).
