This close-up of the fruits of Trachyandra divaricata shows the three segments of the maturing red-brown capsules with seams separating them at obtuse angles of 120?. These hairless, ovoid fruits are about 1 cm in length. Some of the triangular bracts that shield the individual fruit stalks at the base can still be seen here, well after the flowering.
The flattened, fleshy, green or yellow-green leaves with slight, shallow channelling can be seen lying under the fruits (Manning, 2007).
