    The pointy tips of Edmondia sesamoides flowerhead bracts grown in concentric rows, present precise patterns around the central disc florets typical of Asteraceae. The fertile florets are tubular ending in five petal tips covered in gland-tipped hairs. Flowerheads are from 2,5 cm to 3 cm in diameter.

    Flowering happens from late winter to midsummer (Manning, 2007).
