    Those familiar with the all-year-round grey-green look of Little Karoo landscape experience a peak in mood swings when this view unfolds along the road they travel daily.

    Parents used to the normal dirty and unkempt appearance of the children who always play so vigorously, get the same lift when they check on them, clean and peacefully asleep at night.

    Although these best appearance times are so much shorter, the memory bank retains them as reference items. Lifelong affinity prefers to recall such moments, albeit they don’t come often.

    This is why visitors from the green provinces wonder why the Little Karoo locals are so attached to their land… like the parents to their brats.
